As I've stated on my website dedicated to astronaut John Young, I consider all of the astronauts to be heroes, as well as all the other people who have contributed their efforts to our space program. Below are photos of some of these people that I admire.

Astronaut
Hall of Fame Induction 2001
Photos taken at the Astronaut Hall of Fame Induction, Titusville, Florida, November 2001. Many of the space pioneers were at this event - John Young, Al Worden, Wally Schirra, Bob Crippen, etc.... The photos on the following 6 pages were taken at the Star Trek 30th Anniversary convention in Huntsville, Alabama in September of 1996. I was privileged - no, thrilled - to meet all six of these astronauts: Alan Shepard, Alan Bean, Charlie Duke, Ed Mitchell, Fred Haise, Buzz Aldrin. ![]() Follow the links below to see photos of the astronauts, along with the Star Trek actors - and Dan Goldin! ![]()
Slanted Fedora has started including astronauts as guests at their Star Trek conventions - so far Rick Searfoss and Richard Gordon have guested |
