The Second Generation
...these two followed closely behind the first generation.  And they arrived within two weeks of each other, so they were raised like brother and sister...

Sammy
Sammy is another one that just showed up here on the farm.  He arrived in the fall of 1984.

Sammy is one of the biggest talkers I've ever seen.  It doesn't matter what you say to him, he'll reply with more than just a short answer.

Penelope
Nelpe was a very lucky little kitten.  While driving to town one day, we saw the truck in front of us suddenly swerve.  Then we saw why - and we swerved, too.  I got out of the car and ran back to see if we had hit the little kitten.  Her face was covered in blood - but, rather than being seriously hurt, one of the cars had pulled the whiskers completely out of one side of her face - and that was her only injury.

Nelpe had the best left you ever saw - whether it be hitting a ball (she could slam dunk with the best of 'em) or hitting one of the other cats (they all steered clear of her left hook).
