The Third Generation
The kitties of the third generation all came at about the same time, but they all came in different ways....

TC
TC came from the pound - he was given to me as a gift for Mother's Day, 1985.  TC was my cat - no doubt about it.  He even slept on my pillow at night, wrapped around my head.  He lived to be 10 - and that wasn't nearly long enough...  And, in case you're wondering, TC stood for "typical cat".

Christina
Christy was found roaming around a college campus - she was very malnourished and totally covered in fleas.  After using up one of her lives then, she used another when she swallowed some dental floss when she was about 2.  It took several weeks to diagnose the problem - during that time I had to set my alarm for 2am feedings since she was unable to eat on her own.  During the day I took her into town and left her with a wonderful vet named Carol Acres.  After the problem was discovered and surgery was perfomed to remove the dental floss, Christy developed diabetes. And she even recovered from that after a few months. That particular vet office still calls Christy the "miracle cat".

Annette
Annette was found in one of our distant barns.  One of her siblings was found in a neighboring barn.  It was the habit of the farmers in this area to take kittens and distribute them to all the barns in the area to combat mice.  Net-net was very tame and we easily rescued her.  Her sibling wasn't so lucky - after failing to catch the kitten, we returned the next day only to find that something else had already caught it.
